Applications for our 2014 Trainee Programme are now open!

The Schroders Trainee Programme is designed for school leavers and offers a variety of paid year-long placements. The Programme is a great opportunity to gain hands on experience in the industry whilst developing key skills and building strong relationships within the organisation. It is designed to provide Trainees with the necessary skills to secure permanent work either at Schroders or elsewhere in the industry.

Our year long programme will provide you with a fantastic introduction to Investment Management and working in the City, wherever your future career takes you. It’s also a great way to gain relevant experience to help you secure a permanent job after completion of the programme.

We offer Trainee positions in a number of departments across our business including:

  • Finance
  • IT
  • Human Resources
  • Operations
  • Sales and Marketing
  • Risk

There is just one application form for our Trainee Programme, so when you apply via our website you will be able to state your area or areas of interest on the application form and we will give you the opportunity to explain why you would be a great person for that area.
We are looking for ambitious self-starters who have a genuine interest in the financial services industry. You will need to demonstrate an interest in the area you are applying to and be strong academically. We are looking for candidates with at least 3 ‘A’ Levels (or equivalent), grade C or above. You will need to be 18 years old by 01 September 2014 to apply for this intake.

Applicants should be aware of the following key dates:

  • Online applications will close on Friday 16 May
  • Final face to face interviews in Schroders’ offices will be held between Wednesday 28 May and Friday 13 June
  • Start date: Monday 01 Sept 2014

Our Trainee Programme is part of the Investment 2020 initiative, launched together with 13 leading investment firms looking to offer young people careers in ‘The City’. You can find more details on this initiative on its dedicatedwebsite.

As part of the Investment 2020 scheme, Schroders is partnering with Jupiter Fund Management. Applications for Schroders’ Trainee Programme may also be considered for roles at Jupiter Fund Management.
