A career in the merchant navy offers the chance of an adventurous lifestyle packed with exciting and well-paid career prospects. For students enrolling as an officer cadet, their course fees are paid for by the shipping companies under the sponsored cadet training scheme. The application is made to the shipping company not via UCAS and can be made in addition to any UCAS application.
