Occupational Therapy Careers Handbook

The latest Occupational Therapy Careers Handbook, produced by the professional body for occupational therapists, the College of Occupational Therapists is now available.

The handbook has been revised to provide you with up-to-date information about a career in occupational therapy, and includes a listing of all the College of Occupational Therapists accredited courses.

The handbook is one of many careers resources the College has produced to promote the occupational therapy profession. The full range of materials is available on the College of Occupational Therapists website www.cot.org.uk/careers includes two short films, one on occupational therapy as a career and the other, following the day in a life of an occupational therapy student. The films are streamed through YouTube, so do feel free to send a link to your clients and colleagues.

Occupational therapists are health and social care professionals who work with people of all ages, helping them to carry out activities that will enable them to live life their way. Occupational therapists enjoy job satisfaction and excellent prospects in a variety of clinical, research, teaching and management posts. All graduates from a College of Occupational Therapists’ accredited programme receive recognition from the World Federation of Occupational Therapists (WFOT), giving graduates the opportunity to work anywhere in the world.
