New Undergraduate Degree in Education with Psychology
The Department of Education have recently introduced the BA (Hons) Education with Psychology degree. The programme enables students to critically explore the interface between education with psychology, exploring how young children and adolescents learn and develop in contemporary British society and across the world.
As with many of the University’s programmes, a professional placement year is offered in the third year, in a range of interesting settings.
The degree prepares students for employment within a range of services for children and young people; for example, with further studies students could go into teaching, counselling, youth work or special needs. It also enables graduates to work with nongovernmental organisations whose concern is the welfare of children, their families and young people.
