Accounting & Finance Students to Benefit From Largest Ever Scholarship Scheme
The EY Scholarship Programme will be the largest of its kind at the University, worth more than £1 million over the next four years. Scholarship students will individually receive up to £40,000 in financial support.
Ten first year students (pictured above with Professor Veronica Hope Hailey (centre), Louise Tidwell, EY Student Recruitment Officer (left) and Dominic Franiel (right), EY Student Recruitment Manager) studying Accounting & Finance in the University’s School of Management have been selected to receive £15,000 of funding during their four-year programme, as well as paid summer work experience at EY and a salaried placement at the firm for their third year.
From next year the number of new student scholars will rise to 20. Students will apply online and be selected following interview and assessment. EY is also making three awards of £1,000 each year to students that meet criteria for widening access to higher education.
Professor Veronica Hope Hailey, Dean of the School of Management, said: “This new scholarship scheme offers our students an enviable pathway into one of the world’s leading professional services companies, as well as substantial funding for their studies. We are proud that EY have recognised the quality of the University of Bath’s Accounting & Finance students and chosen to support and nurture their studies and career development.”
