The Spark is A FREE week of discussion, workshops, film, poetry music and more looking at how we can build positive change here in the UK and around the world. It’s now just 5 days until The Spark opens its doors on 20-26 July in Whitechapel, and we hope to see you there!
There will be sessions on a wide range of topics from ‘How gentrification affects communities and what we can do about it’, to ‘The Colonial Past & Present and the fight for our future’, ‘How to make your own short film… on your mobile!’, to ‘Move your Money – does it work?,’ to ‘Stop and Search training for young people’, and many many more.
Whether you’re angry about injustice in the world and ready to do something, or share experiences from and ideas about grassroots movements, gain practical skills for social change, meet people and make new connections, explore social justice issues through the arts, or all of these things, this event is for you!
See you there,
Phoebe from the Spark organising team
P.s. Free media training! We’re looking for young people to join our media team blogging, filming and doing social media during the week – we provide training and support during the week to do this. Get in touch if you’d like to be involved!
