Archaeology Study Day for Sixth Form Students at the Ashmolean. Thursday 10 March – Book your tickets now

An inspiring Archaeology sixth form study day for students in IB 1 and 2 (Year 12 and 13) who are interested in the field of Archaeology.

Highlights include Dr Paul Roberts talking on ‘Bringing Pompeii to London and Sicily to Oxford: Archaeology, Exhibitions and Audiences’, and Paul Collins speaking on ‘Conflict and Cultural Heritage in the archaeology of the Middle East’.

Choice of afternoon sessions including: The Portable Antiquities Scheme and Treasure; society and status in the Roman world; prehistoric stone tools; late Medieval archaeology; religion and ritual in the ancient world and coin handling.

Running 10:30 – 16:00 (including unsupervised lunch break, lunch not provided)

Tickets are £5.75 each.
