Sociology Masterclass: Is teenage pregnancy a social problem? at Aston University

Wednesday 27 January 1.15 pm – 3.15 pm

This session considers the issues around how teenage pregnancy became to be seen as a social problem. It will look at common understandings of the issues and will critically examine these to see if the evidence supports current policy understandings. Through debates and interactive exercises, participants will examine the extent to which teenage pregnancy should be discouraged.

Aston’s Masterclass Programme provides stimulating workshops from Aston University academics at the forefront of their subject area. These free sessions offer a great opportunity for Year 12 and 13 students to enrich their current studies and to discover more about studying a particular subject for Higher Education.
