Summer School in Food Sciences and Crop Sciences for IB1 (Year 12) students at the University of Nottingham

Nottingham

Summer School in Food and Crop Sciences

This free, three-day Summer School is run by the School of Biosciences at our Sutton Bonington Campus at the University of Nottingham. It is open to IB1 (year 12) students able to demonstrate a love of science and are who are keen to explore how science is used to ensure the supply of safe, nutritious and tasty food.

Students will take part in problem-solving games and activities that highlight the challenges faced across the food supply chain, from farm to fork – and how science can help address these highly topical challenges. They will also visit a top food factory or commercial plant company, to see food and crop science in action and find out about potential careers.

Staying on campus will allow students to experience university first-hand. Full-board and 24-hour support from staff and students is provided.
