Year 12 Engineering Taster Day at the University of Birmingham

The University of Birmingham would like to invite IB1 (Year 12) students to their 2016 Engineering taster day  on the 5th July. The aim of the day is to give you an introduction to studying engineering at university.

The taster day will be held at the University of Birmingham’s Edgbaston campus beginning at 10am (registration from 9:30) and will finish at 4pm. The day will consist of an introduction talk and then a choice of 2 taster sessions, which include information about the subject and an interactive workshop.

You must be studying the required Higher Level (A-Level) subjects for the engineering field you are interested in:

Subject Required IB Subjects for 2016 entry to Bachelor’s Degree
Chemical Engineering Mathematics and Chemistry HL.
Civil Engineering Mathematics HL
Computer Science Mathematics or Computing HL
Materials Science Mathematics and one from Physics, Chemistry or Design and Technology at HL
Mechanical Engineering Mathematics HL

To apply to attend you need to submit an application form via your school.  St. Clare’s students need to speak to Melanie Moorhouse to do this.

Places are limited so please register promptly to avoid disappointment.
