Toptal have just started a scholarship program to award 12 scholarships over the next 12 months to help women pursue their technical career aspirations. It is open to more than just aspiring developers; the award applies to anyone with a passion for tech and they welcome applicants from all majors and any academic standing.

Each scholarship winner will receive a stipend, and in addition, a year of mentorship and guidance from the senior developers within their network. Here are the scholarship guidelines.

Toptal STEM scholarships for Women

Totptal.com will award 12 scholarships to aspiring female computer scientists, developers and software engineers. Every winner will receive $5,000 and a year of weekly one-on-one mentoring by a Toptal senior developer.

How to Apply

You will need to:

  • Make a meaningful contribution to Open Source (If you have never done this before they have a guide to help you).
  • Publish a post on your Personal Blog telling the world about your contribution to Open Source.
  • Complete the application form available on their site.

The deadline to apply is the 15th of each month. The final deadline is October 14, 2016.

You must be aged 13 or over to apply but can be living and studying anywhere in the world.
