all about school leavers banner

Dstl (Defence, Science and Technology Laboratory) employs some of the world’s brightest people. We are always on the lookout for talented, dedicated, creative and innovative individuals to join us.
At the end of the scheme you will have had a good mix of academic and work-based learning experiences to ensure you develop the skills that will support you and the organisation in the future.

Apprenticeships are a ladder of opportunity, giving young people and adults the chance they deserve to get on and fulfil their potential.

Dstl apprenticeships give you the opportunity to earn while you learn. We have a diverse and inclusive workforce making us an employer of choice.

At Dstl, as well as a rewarding career in defence science and technology, we operate a broad total reward and recognition package including

  • 25 days annual leave
  • Flexible working
  • An on-site gym
  • Restaurants & other facilities

As a member of the 5% club, we’re committed to ensuring that 5% of our workforce are apprentices, graduates or sponsored students on a structured programme over the next five years.
