Summer School in Food and Crop Sciences
5-7 July 2017
This free three day Summer School is run by the School of Biosciences at our Sutton Bonington Campus. It is open to Year 12/IB1 students who can demonstrate a love of science and who are keen to explore how science is used to ensure the supply of safe, nutritious and tasty food.
You will take part in problem solving games and activities that highlight the challenges faced across the food supply chain, from farm to fork – and how science can help address these highly topical challenges. You will also visit a top food factory or commercial plant company, to see food and crop science in action and find out about potential careers.
Staying on campus will allow you to experience life at University first hand – full board and 24 hour support from staff and students is provided.
