School Leaver Program with Liberty Specialty Markets – Opportunities to start this September – Apply Now
Liberty Specialty Markets is part of the Liberty Group, which you may have seen as Liberty Seguros, one of the sponsors of the World Cup in Brazil. They are the official insurance partner, and they are now offering school and college leavers the opportunity to join their City of London business.
The Liberty Academy – 2014
Do you want to work in a fast-paced, dynamic and ambitious company?
Starting on 15 September, our School Leaver Programme has been designed to provide you with the skills to embark on a career in (re)insurance. Your programme will be tailored around your skills and career ambitions to offer you the best training and experience for your chosen field. In addition, you will be supported through relevant professional qualifications and offered a competitive salary.
Candidates can apply for a position in both of the departments on the list below:
- IT
- Business Support
You will be working within your chosen department over the course of this 12-month programme, and rotated through several teams across the department. In addition you will have exposure to the wider business though secondments.

Liberty Insight Day – 1st July 2014
Are you considering whether university is for you? Are you interested in finding out more about roles within the London Insurance Market for school leavers and graduates.
Liberty Specialty Markets (sponsors of the World Cup!) are proud to invite A level/IB/BTEC National students to our insight day and allow them the opportunity to find out what career options are available to them in the world of risk.
Students will benefit from hearing from a selection of employees, some of whom went to university and others who went straight into employment from school and college.
Attendees will have an insight into:
- How to get into the insurance profession
- Different roles and what they entail
- The development and experiences to be gained in education and the work place
- What it’s like to work at Liberty Specialty Markets
- The Liberty Academy, graduate and apprenticeship scheme
- An introduction to recruitment, writing a CV and interview tips
11am–1pm – Students who have just completed their Year 12 / IB1 / AS level exams who are due to apply to university in 2014/2015 academic year
2pm–5pm – Students who have completed their IB/ A level/BTEC National studies and are waiting for their results.
In addition to the above we will be opening the recruitment for two vacancies on our Apprenticeship scheme which commences in September 2014.

Pre-Registration for the University of London Information Days 16 + 17 September 2014 is now live
The Pre-registration system for the 2014 University of London Information Days event on 16 & 17 September is now live! So you can now pre-register on the event website www.gradsintocareers.co.uk/informationdays. Pre-registration is not essential, but if you do pre-register they will keep you informed over the coming months of important updates and news – particularly when the Talks Booking System goes live in July.
The University of London Information Days are a vital 2 days for any prospective student wishing to study at any University of London college at undergraduate level who has not been able to attend an open day at their university of choice already. 16 of our colleges and institutes will be at the event on 16 & 17 September with staff on exhibition stands throughout the day and some will give a variety of talks.

Taster Days
We are delighted to announce the dates of our next subject Taster Days, aimed specifically at Lower Sixth/Year 12 students who wish to experience at first-hand what it is like to study a subject at degree level.
These sessions will provide an opportunity to attend stimulating lectures and workshops delivered by our own academics as well as the chance to find out more about routes into Higher Education and life at NCH.
The Taster Days are free of charge and run from 11am until 3.30pm with lunch included. They will be held at our Registry at 19 Bedford Square, London.
